At Pawprints of Love Rescue, we fight for the animals no one else stops to see.
Under freeway overpasses, in dirt lots, by tents and broken-down RVs, dogs and cats curl up on concrete and cardboard, trying to survive one more night. They are loyal to the people who have almost nothing, and yet they have even less. No soft bed. No full bowl. No safety. No future.
Our mission is to change that.As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we focus on the dogs and cats living in encampments – the ones most people walk past, the ones already forgotten while they're still alive. We bring them into safety, give them medical care, and show them, often for the first time, what it feels like to be held with love.
But we don't stop there. We know that rescue cannot exist without fosters. So we work tirelessly to find and support fosters not only for our own animals, but for other rescues who are overwhelmed and out of space. When a shelter is full, when a rescue has to say, "We have no more room," we step in to find the foster homes that make "yes" possible.
Every time someone opens their home to a scared dog from an encampment…
Every time a timid cat finally dares to sleep without fear…
Every time a rescue can say, "We'll take them," because a foster said, "I will help"…
A life is saved.
Between the streets and safety
Between "no more room" and "we'll make room."
Between an animal no one wanted and a family who can't imagine life without them.
We believe every dog and cat deserves to be seen, to be chosen, and to be loved for the rest of their life.
And until they are, we will keep fighting for them — one foster home, one rescued soul, and one tiny pawprint of love at a time.
